The cast of ‘Gogglebox’ have been sharing their congratulations with co-star Scarlett Moffatt, following her success in this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity’ final.
On Sunday night (4 December), Scarlett was crowned Queen of the Jungle by ‘I’m A Celebrity’ viewers, having first found fame as one of the stand-out stars of ‘Gogglebox’, which she appears in with her family.
Following her victory, the rest of the cast have now been vocal in supporting her, from former ‘Gogglebox’ staples Steph and Dom Parker to more recent additions to the show:
It currently remains to be seen whether Scarlett and her family will be back on ‘Gogglebox’ next year, with conflicting reports circulating about her future on the Channel 4 show.
Although it was claimed on the morning after her Jungle coronation that her time on ‘Gogglebox’ was now over, producers have since said, in a statement to BBC Newsbeat: “[We’ve] not had any conversations with Scarlett about leaving or returning to ‘Gogglebox’ after her stint in the jungle.”
It was previously thought that she would be returning, though after she became increasingly popular on ‘I’m A Celebrity’, it was claimed she could be set to earn “millions”, as she was at the centre of a “bidding war” between Channel 4 and ITV.
Cast member George Gilbey was previously forced to bow out of ‘Gogglebox’ when he made an appearance in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house in summer 2013, but was later allowed to return, and is now a member of the cast once again.
