When you go on holiday in Italy it's fair to say that the one thing you're not expecting are water tornados, and yet when Nicola Ferrarese looked out over the Ligurian Sea that's exactly what he saw.
Witnessing not one, but two fully formed waterspouts so close to the coast is a rare thing indeed and as you can see from the video there looked to be a third forming on the left.
The video was taken from the roof of Ferrarese's hotel in San Bartolomeo al Mare, Italy. While that particular region of the country is usually known for its great weather the passing thunderstorms resulted in a sight that few will get to see in the flesh.
