‘Emmerdale’ has triumphed at the Inside Soap Awards, scooping the highly-coveted Best Soap accolade, but it was the ‘EastEnders’ cast and crew who walked away from the evening with the highest number of prizes.
The BBC soap won five accolades, while ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘Coronation Street’ each scooped four.
Alongside the Best Soap prize, ‘Emmerdale’ won the Best Partnership category - thanks to Robron, of course - and the Best Shock Twist award, for the 2015 scenes which saw Val Pollard die.
Amelia Flanagan, who plays April Windsor, won the Best Young Actor award.
The Best Actor and Actress prizes were scooped by EastEnders’ Steve McFadden and Lacey Turner, while ‘Coronation Street’ won Best Show-Stopper for its live episode.
