A picture apparently showing two Palestinians protecting an Israeli policewoman from rocks has emerged online.
The moving image shows a frightened-looking police officer seemingly being protected by two Palestinian men, standing with their arms outstretched.
The picture, taken by Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper’s photographer Shaul Golan, was snapped at Aish Kodesh, an outpost on the West Bank, considered by the United Nations and International Court of Justice to be part of the occupied territory, according to the Independent.
The man on the left has been identified as Zakaria Sadah, a Palestinian field worker for the Rabbis for Human Rights (RHR) group.
Trouble reportedly broke out when Palestinians and anti-occupation activists clashed with Israeli settlers.
Reports have differed over who exactly was throwing the stones - the Independent says it was Israeli settlers, with RHR claiming it was Palestinians.
A number of people online praised the men for protecting the police officer…
