Take a look at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show, which has just wrapped up in Tokyo. The show was dominated by Sony's PlayStation Vita, which is due out in 2012 in the UK Europe. Gree, the Japanese online game publisher dominates in Japan, and is making a steady push abroad focuses on mobile and social networking games.
Nintendo didn't show at the Game Show, but held their own separate event. Yes, they're that powerful. Sony are not too big for their boots and had the Sony-Ericsson Xpedia Play on display - a slide mobile phone which becomes a small console. It will go on sale in Japan in October or November. UK release date unknown.
The show hosts the big names, but plenty of smaller Apple and Android developers hoping for a hit on those devices were there to get some attention for their inventions.
