Jeremy Browne Deployed To Falkland Islands - But Who Is He?

Who Is The Lib Dem Deployed To Falkland Islands?

Jeremy Browne will become the first Foreign Office minister to visit he Falkland Islands since 2008 when he flies out to the region in June.

He has said he hopes his visit, timed to mark the anniversary of the liberation of the islands in 1982, will not be seen as provocative by the Argentinian government.

In his trips abroad so far in his ministerial career, the Lib Dem MP for Taunton has been entrusted with opening a branch of Accessorize in Mexico, dancing in a traditional Bolivian red poncho and hanging out with some giant pandas in China.

Hopefully these rather jovial images will reassure Buenos Aires that Browne not at the vanguard of a Royal Navy taskforce.
