James Murdoch's star turn at the Leveson Inquiry today has brought to light a number of revelations, the most prominent being what looks like an uncomfortably close relationship between the Culture Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, and News Corp.
Emails disclosed to the inquiry, revealed on Tuesday while the former News International chairman gave evidence in a marathon six-hour session, showed that Hunt may have supported the Murdoch empire's bid to take control of BSkyB bid.
Crucially, Hunt was placed in charge of judging over the News Corporation bid for a higher stake in BSkyB, initially headed by business secretary Vince Cable before his anti-Murdoch comments.
But now it appears Hunt's office shared scores of emails with the Murdochs and Michel.
Following the testimony, the odds on Hunt leaving office were slashed from 50/1 to 5/1 by Ladbrokes.
