AC Milan edged a nine-goal thriller with Parma 5-4 at the Stadio Tardini but this game will be remembered for one moment of opportunistic genius from Jérémy Ménez.
With Milan 4-3 ahead, Menez appeared to seal the contest once and for all when he rounded Parma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante, only he had overcooked his touch and Parma players were racing back towards the goal line.

No matter, the Frenchman exquisitely backheeled the ball over the scampering Mirante for what was the game's eventual winner.
Menez was on target twice, once from the penalty spot, in a game which saw both sides end the game with 10 men, as Daniele Bonera and Felipe both receiving their marching orders.
