J.K. Rowling has admitted she graffitied a bust in the hotel room in which she finished writing 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'.
The author made the confession on Twitter adding: "Never do this. It's wrong."
Monday marked the 9-year anniversary of the completion of the novel and it seems the years of guilt have finally caught up with her.
It's unlikely the owners of the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh will mind though, the writing has undoubtedly boosted the value of the room significantly.
The Grand Suite room is listed online as having such visitors as "Braemar, Stirling, Dunrobin, Tay and JK Rowling".
