Joe Biden has hinted he could run for president in 2020 - having decided against it in 2016.
Speaking to reporters in Washington DC on Monday, the vice president fielded questions about his future and seemingly left the door open to a White House run.
“Yeah, I am,” Biden said. “I’m going to run in 2020.”
“For what?” a reporter asked.
“For president,” he replied. “What the hell, man, anyway.”
Told the reporters would run with that story, Biden replied: “That’s ok, that’s ok.”
Asked again if he was “kidding” about running for president, Biden paused for four seconds before replying:
“I’m not committing not to run. I’m not committing to anything. I learned a long time ago fate has a strange way of intervening.”
