John Prescott Sings To Celebrate Drop The NHS Bill Petition Passing 100,000 Signatures (VIDEO)

WATCH: Prescott Sings Karaoke To Celebrate NHS Petition Milestone

Former deputy prime minister Lord Prescott has kept his promise to take to the stage to celebrate 100,000 signing a petition to urge the government to drop its NHS reforms.

The Labour peer belted out, fittingly, the 1935 Joe Young hit "I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter" - and he gives it a pretty good shot.

The track has also been covered, although not as well, by Paul McCartney on his new album which takes its name "Kisses On The Bottom" from the song.

The Huffington Post UK has seen and heard much worse at our weekly Karaoke nights, naming no names.

For those who are less keen on his dulcet tones, Prescott promised on Twitter to remove the video from the internet if the petition reaches 200,000 signatures.
