Julia Sawalha Opens Up About New Age-Gap Romance

Julia Sawalha has revealed that she’s found love, after meeting a new man on the set of the ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ film.

The 47-year-old actress, who plays Saffy in the hit show-turned-movie, met her new partner Luke, who is 17 years her junior.

Speaking to the Mirror, she explains: “We’ve been together five months and we barely spend a day apart.”

“The age gap took a while to get my head around but he’s so emotionally mature he helps me be more relaxed. He’s younger than me but he’s an old soul.

“We have the same sense of humour. We laugh all day and he’s the kindest and most loving partner I would ever wish for. I’ve always dated men my age or significantly older and none of them are a patch on Luke.”

“I had a clutch of wrong boyfriends, which I don’t regret. But I was definitely mixing with people who were helping me to escape. Forget frogs – they were toads.”

Julia and her ‘Ab Fab’ co-stars reunited to film their first feature film earlier this year.

As with many of the show’s episodes, the movie will also be jam-packed with celeb cameos, from the likes of Kate Moss, Emma Bunton and Rylan Clark.
