He went on to talk about how Louise, “the baddest professor” and “greatest fashion instructor of all time”, influenced his whole life for the better with her advice, but then had to take a moment after becoming overcome with emotion.

He revealed: “That’s never happened to me in an interview before… it’s kinda hard for me to talk about.”

Louise, who was granted an OBE in 2008, died in her sleep while visiting her sister in Scotland last May, at the age of 52.

Among her fashion students are Sophia Kokosalaki, Jonathan Saunders and Alexander McQueen.

During his time in London, Kanye was among the performers at the Brit Awards on Wednesday night, where his controversial performance sparked over 100 complaints from viewers, because of his bad language.
