If you thought Kanye West was joking when he decided to get up on stage as Beck was awarded the Grammy for Album Of The Year at this year’s bash, then think again.

The US rapper - who famously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards because he thought Beyoncé should have won - was up to his old tricks again on Sunday night.
And once again, it was his mate Beyoncé who was the catalyst for his stage-invading tactics, as she lost out to Beck.
But despite appearing to have a change of heart once he was up on stage, Kanye didn’t hold back during a post-awards interview in an extraordinary rant, in which he says he thinks Beck should hand over his Grammy to Beyoncé.

"I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us,” he began.
“We ain't gonna play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry, and he should've given his award to Beyoncé."
As his wife Kim Kardashian looked on, Kanye added: "Because when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration.
“And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyoncé album and they feel like it takes them to another place."
And as for why he bottled out of grabbing the mic from Beck like he did with Taylor six years before, he said: "I'm not gonna do nothing to put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity. That's the reason why I didn't say anything tonight, but you all know what it meant when Ye walked out on that stage!"
