It looks like Kanye West is taking his Paris Fashion Week debut very seriously.
A regular on the front row and occasional designer, the rapper is debuting his DW Kanye West collection, reportedly designed with Louise Goldin and Riccardo Tisci, this evening in Paris.
He was spotted doing some prep work at a fabric wholesaler, London Trimmings, in London's Whitechapel this week, where he stopped by twice, and apparently dropped £14,000 on fabric and zippers for the collection.
Owner Ashraf Loonat, 31, said the singer was very down to earth and only brought a couple of people with him instead of a large entourage, according to the BBC.
"He turned up unexpectedly at first. He was very polite, interested in what we had to say," Loonat said.
"What was really good was when I asked him [Kanye] why he was here himself he said, 'I want to work from the ground upwards, I don't want to leave it to someone else.'"
Buying fabric a couple of days before the show seems a little last-minute to us, but we'll reserve judgement until we see the fruits of Kanye's labour. Plus, we're betting he a has a stellar front row crowd for us to gawk at.
