Two of her albums, the 1986 compilation ‘The Whole Story’ and her 1985 release ‘Hounds Of Love’ made it into the Top 10, finishing in sixth and ninth respectively.

Kate’s most recent record ‘50 Words For Snow’ is currently sat at number 20, while her debut album ‘The Kick Inside’ is at 24, with ‘The Sensual World’ two places behind,

Finally, ‘The Dreaming', 'Never For Ever' and 'Lionheart' have finished at 37, 38 and 40.

The record for the most albums in the chart at any one time was previously held by Madonna, who had four albums in the Top 40 in 1987.

Only The Beatles and Elvis Presley have ever had more than eight albums in the chart at once.

Kate’s ‘Before The Dawn’ concert has been praised by fans and critics, with The Independent’s reviewer labelling the opening night as “undoubtedly the most ambitious, and genuinely moving, piece of theatrical pop ever seen on a British stage”.
