Wills was photographed sitting in the Oval Office of the White House chatting to the President, and was reportedly talking about his excitement ahead of the birth of the new royal baby.

He also revealed that when Prince George was born, he forgot to check a very important detail. According to the Mirror, he said: "Last time, when George was born, I actually forgot to work out if it was a boy or a girl." Oops.

The Duke had earlier been given a tour of the White House by Vice President Joe Biden, and is later set to head to the World Bank, where he will give a speech on the illegal trade in wildlife.

Meanwhile, as Prince William was rubbing shoulders with Obama, wife Kate, who is five months pregnant, was taken on a tour of New York by Chirlane McCray, the wife of the current New York mayor.

The pair were spotted visiting the Northside Centre for Child Development, where they spent an hour getting into the Christmas spirit and wrapping gifts with the kids.

And, as usual, Kate was super-stylish in a black coat with white accents by Goat. Aptly, it's called the Washington coat, and cost more than your average high street outerwear at £680.

The duchess has been staying at the plush Carlyle Hotel during the three-day trip.

According to Hello! magazine, after meeting a host of influencers from the British community in New York at the British Consul General's residence, Kate will head back to the hotel and get glammed up for a Conservation Reception and the Brooklyn Nets game with William. Can't wait to see the next outfit.
