She's just like us, people! (Well, sort of). The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton was spotted making a last-minute dash to Baby Gap to stock up on holiday goodies for Prince George ahead of the royal tour to Australia and New Zealand next week.

Duchess Kate popped out of her Kensington Palace home and into the store on High Street Kensington this week for the pre-hols shop, flanked by three bodyguards (ok, not quite like us).

And, according to Hello Magazine, this was her haul: two navy and white striped babygrows for £14.95 each; a pair of striped grey and navy cotton trousers for £8.95; a green checked bodysuit designed to look like a shirt costing £12.95; and some denim shorts for £14.95.

While in the store, she couldn't resist grabbing something for herself, and nabbed two pairs of trousers, before queuing up to pay her grand total of £126.44.

It seems like Gap is having a bit of a moment, as Barack Obama was recently seen personally picking a few pieces out for wife Michelle while in Manhattan, reports Vanity Fair.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will set off on the tour of Australia and New Zealand on 7 April, kicking off in the NZ city of Wellington.

Their new Spanish nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, will be on hand throughout the tour to help out with little Prince George.

According to reports, Kate's wardrobe for the three-week tour Down Under has already been selected, and will feature around 30 dresses from her favourite designers, which will likely include, Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham, and Alice Temperley.

We can't wait to see what she pulls out of the royal travel bag during the tour but, in the meantime, flick through Kate's fab style file here:
