Katie Hopkins and Simon Danczuk have been engaged in an incendiary row over race relations after the Labour MP posted a photo of himself holding the Pakistani flag with two friends in his constituency town of Rochdale.
The Greater Manchester town became infamous as the scene of widespread abuse of teenage girls by predominantly Asian men over a number of years.
Hopkins immediately seized on the photo as being insensitive but Danczuk was quick to respond.
The Twitter spat quickly escalated as Hopkins tweeted a photo of some of the men found guilty of child abuse.
Nine men from Rochdale and Oldham convicted of offences including rape and conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child. Of the group, eight were from Pakistan and one was from Afghanistan.
An investigation into the failure of police officers to tackle the sex abuse did not find any should be charged.

While tirades like this are all par for the course for the outspoken TV personality, Danczuck has also made headlines this week for his views.
On Monday he said his party leader, Ed Miliband, was seen as more of a "toff" than David Cameron and was an electoral liability.
He wrote in the New Statesman: "Any Labour politician that says to you they knock on a door and Ed Miliband is popular are telling lies.
"They’re just telling lies. It’s just not true. I spend four hours knocking on doors on a Sunday – they [constituents] say things like 'you’re doing an alright job as MP but I don’t want Ed Miliband as prime minister, so I won’t vote for you.' So it’ll cost me votes,"
But in Tuesday's battle, Hopkins eventually claimed victory.
