We never thought that Lauren Goodger would be a source of style inspiration for Katy Perry, but a love of TOWIE is the only explanation we can think of as to why the singer would step out wearing this.
Katy was seen leaving a bar in Santa Monica wearing this bizarre see-through dress - strikingly similar to the one worn by Lauren to Joey Essex's 22nd birthday party last month.
She teamed the sheer dress with a leather biker jacket for her evening out at the Shore bar where she was accompanied by a mystery male, who has no doubt been helping her mend her broken heart after John Mayer dumped her.
The pair had enjoyed a brief summer fling, but Katy is said to be really upset after the notorious womaniser gave her the elbow.
A source told RadarOnline: "John did a real number on Katy.
"She held off from his advances for the longest time, but he laid on the charm thick and promised her he was a changed man. She eventually gave in, fell head over heels for him and then - yep - once he had made his conquest, he dumped her."
