Like many of us, Keira Knightley is the kind of girl who likes to stick to what she knows when it comes to her hair.
Aside from the odd braided updo, this means we've got used to seeing the 29-year-old star with her brunette locks in the same old style lately - slightly curled, with a centre-parting.
But on Saturday night, Keira dared to do something different with her hair at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Governors Awards in Hollywood. Hurrah!
Okay, it wasn't a drastic change, but we love this super sleek new do. If only we knew Keira's secret to getting glossy, frizz-free locks... hair oil, perhaps?
The actress wowed in a floral-appliqué dress by Nina Ricci paired with emerald earrings. She was joined at the event by fellow Brits Benedict Cumberbatch and Emily Blunt, who looked equally glamorous in a fuchsia design by Michael Kors.
Keira recently hit the headlines for starring in a topless photoshoot with Interview magazine - and the reason for it has been applauded by women everywhere.
"That was one of the ones where I said, 'OK, I'm fine doing the topless shot so long as you don't make them any bigger or retouch,'" she explained to the Times when asked about her decision to pose topless. "Because it does feel important to say it really doesn't matter what shape you are."
Kudos to Keira. Let's hope this new hair do is a keeper, too.
She's come a long way since her Bend It Like Beckham days...
