It's an exciting time in the life of Kelly Brook. Just days after her engagement to David McIntosh was announced, Kelly's new job has also been confirmed (and it's got nothing to do with her latest perfume line...)
Brook has landed a lead role in NBC's new pilot comedy series. Yep - she's headed to Hollywood!
Kelly tweeted the news on Friday with a link to Deadline.com with more information about the role...
"Kelly Brook has been tapped as one of the leads in NBC's multi-camera pilot One Big Happy, marking the first U.S. series regular role for the popular British actress/TV personality," the site announced.
No wonder she's been hanging out in the US for so long...
The series, written by Liz Feldman and directed by Scott Ellis, is based on the story of two childhood friends (a lesbian and her straight male best friend) who have a baby via artificial insemination. Sounds complex.
So - who will Kelly be playing? A British girl called Prudence (phew, no dodgy US accents), described as "a sexy Mary Poppins" (yes, really.)
Sounds like Kelly will be perfect for the role.
