North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has married a young singer, according to the country's state TV.
His nuptials with Ri Sol Ju were announced on Democratic Republic of Korea's state TV, according to Voice of America's Correspondent for Korea and Japan, Steve Herman, who posted the news on Twitter.
The news comes days after speculation mounted over the identity of a young woman frequently pictured with the leader, with reports suggesting she could be the leader's girlfriend or his sister.
South Korea's top official on cross-border affairs Yu Woo-Ik said on Wednesday that in his judgement "she appears to be his wife", according to AFP.
Unification Minister Yu Woo-Ik's words came before the announcement of Kim Jong Un's marriage to the songstress, who can been seen performing an upbeat dance number below.

Japan's Kyodo news also reported that the leader was married to the pretty brunette.
Mystery shrouds Kim Jong-Un, who replaced his father as the leader of the communist state after Kim Jong Il's death in December.
