When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West appeared on the cover of American Vogue this month, the world went into a state of shock. But little did we know fashion mags Vanity Fair and Harper's Bazaar were also vying for a Kim Kardashian cover.
According to Women's Wear Daily, an insider revealed Kim had been in serious talks with the other high-end magazines for months about appearing on their covers.
Asked for comment from WWD over whether the mag was considering Kim for its cover, Bazaar executive editor, Laura Brown said simply: "Kim and Kanye are the greatest example of conscious coupling. We wish them all the best." Oooh cryptic.
A spokeswoman for Vanity Fair said the magazine does not comment on speculation about its cover choices.
It's at this point we'd like to draw your attention to how VF reported on the Kimye Vogue cover... "If you're anything like us here at VF.com," they wrote.
"You have already spent a good 30 minutes staring at the cover dumbfounded, mouth agape, as assembled co-workers just shouted various fragments at the computer screen: 'Her hands!' 'His eyes!' 'Dresssss...'."
Perhaps they were just jel KK wasn't their cover star? #JustSaying.
