Kirstie Allsopp has told a magazine EXACTLY what she thinks of THAT new celebrity baby name!
Kirstie, 39, who is mum to Bay, five, and Oscar, two, has told NEW! magazine that she personally would not have put the name Harper with Beckham:
'Lovely names but an unfortunate combo,' she tells this week's issue, 'It sounds like "half-past seven". And Harper Beckham? Not sure I'd have put Harper with Beckham. But I really hope she isn't reading any of the stuff about her name!'
We're not so sure Kirstie should be talking unfortunate name combinations. Her sons' full names are Bay Atlas (!) and Oscar Hercules (!!)
Kirstie also spills the beans about being a working mum, and that age-old problem of mummy- guilt: 'I think all mums feel that because there are times when you want to be there and you can't. You question whether you're getting the balance right,' she says, adding she probably feels like this every week.'
As well as having her own two little boys, Kirstie is step-mum to her property developer husband Ben Andersen's children Hal, 11, and Orion, eight.
She admits that step-parenting can be hard: 'It is difficult because you can fail at being a step-parent. Kids cut their parents a lot of slack but with stepchildren you have to get it right. You have to win their trust and respect and keep on winning it. Nothing is automatic. A great many men and women don't put enough time and energy into step-parenting.'
Kirstie is currently involved in Persil's Small & Mighty advertising campaign which is encouraging users to reveal why they are a miracle parent - whilst not spilling the beans on how SHE is a miracle parent, Kirstie does reveal what makes her partner Ben, 51, one: "He hacks things and makes things. He has a chainsaw. In the eyes of his children that makes him a miracle parent."
Aw! Sweet!
