In news that has come as a 'Surprise, Surprise' to us all (sorry, we couldn't resist), Lady Gaga is set to play Cilla Black in film about Dionne Warwick's life.
The singer will take on the role of the late entertainer in the new biopic, entitled simply 'Dionne'.
Dionne Warwick herself announced news of the film and its casting at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, also revealing that former Destiny's Child singer LaToya Luckett will be playing her.
Olympia Dukakis will also be portraying the singer's mentor, Marlene Dietrich.
However, we doubt it will be a particularly complimentary portrayal of Cilla, as Dionne has frequently described her as her "musical nemesis".
Asked why she will be the villain of the piece at the festival, Dionne simply responded: "Because she stole my music!"
Dionne accused Cilla of even copying her vocal mannerisms when she released a cover of her song 'Anyone Who Had A Heart', which reached number one in the UK chart in 1964, claiming: "If I would have sneezed on my recording, Cilla would have sneezed on hers."
Sheridan Smith previously played 'Cilla' in an ITV drama about her early career in 2014, and her performance won widespread critical acclaim.
'Dionne' is set to go into production later this year.
