The star of ‘Eat Pray Love’ is coming to London.
No, we’re not talking about Julia Roberts. We’re talking about the place where she fell in love... with pizza.
L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, in Naples, is the famous pizzeria where ‘Eat, Pray, Love’s’ Elizabeth Gilbert (aka Julia Roberts) enters a loving relationship with the Italian favourite.
The restaurant is known for making the best pizza in Naples and, as Naples is the pizza capital of the world, this essentially means L’Antica Pizzeria makes the best pizza in the world - well, that’s the internet’s logic anyway.
Now, L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele is opening a sister restaurant in Stoke Newington, London. And this woman’s tweet appears to be the general consensus around it.
The restaurant will serve all of the pizzas found in its Naples branch, such as traditional Margherita and Marinara pizzas, which will be on offer daily, and two specials available on rotation.
Four chefs from the pizzeria will also be coming to the UK to train staff in Stoke Newington, so you know you’ll be tucking into the real deal.
The restaurant will arrive in London later this year (the opening date hasn’t yet been confirmed) and will open at 125 Church Street, Stoke Newington.
