We have some good news. Lara Croft will be returning in ‘Shadow of the Tomb Raider’, the latest game in the award-winning series, with a release date of 14 September 2018.
While Lara Croft might not be blowing people away in the cinema, the newly rebooted video games have been a universal success.
Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider both received multiple awards around their release with the series being praised for its empowering portrayal of Lara Croft, the stunning graphics and a huge open world.
While the trailer doesn’t give away much it does give us a good idea of where the new game will be set.
The Mayan style pyramid at the end suggests that Lara will find herself in South America taking on either local military forces or rival explorers.
Like all of the Tomb Raider games there will of course be an element of the supernatural and the final shot from the trailer gives a strong hint towards that.
The game will be getting a full reveal on the 27 April and will be available on PS4, Xbox One X and PC.
