The teenager daughter of millionaires has been banned from university after she was charged with stealing £5,000-worth of electronic goods during the London riots.
Laura Johnson, 19, faces five charges of burglary and has been ordered by the courts to wear an electronic tag and observe a curfew between 19:00 and 06:00 at her parents house in Kent.
She is accused of looting goods from electric goods stores including Currys and Comet and has been banned from entering central London.
The conditions of her bail granted by Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court mean she will miss the start of term at the University of Exeter.
Much of the blame for the rioting that swept across the country in August was put at the door of disaffected youth from from poorer parts of English cities.
But Johnson, who is studying English and Italian at university and attended one of England's best grammar schools, is reported to be the daughter of millionaires.
According to the Daily Mail, her parents own a marketing firm and her father has directorships in several companies.
She will appear at Inner London Crown Court on October 5.
The first appeals by people convicted in connection to the rioting and looting in August are due to be heard next week.
Among those appealing are the pair jailed for four years for using Facebook to incite others to riot.
