Lego Star Wars has taken over a Manchester shopping centre - and we've got the exclusive pics to prove it.

An absolutely massive - 250,000 brick - version of the Star Wars universe has been built at the Trafford Centre inside the existing Legoland Discovery Centre.

The hugely impressive, Episode 1-themed set-up features the rolling hills of planet Naboo, the desert plains of Tattooine and dozens of the series' iconic characters among more than 2,000 MiniFigs.

The display also includes hands-on Lego experiences for young fans, among which are a chance to revisit the iconic Podrace from the film and join the ill-fated Anakin Skywalker in battling the evil Droid army, as well as giveaways and other attractions.

The Manchester Legoland Discovery Centre opened in the Trafford Centre back in 2010. It features a North West 'Miniland' built from 1.5 million bricks showcasing everything from the Blackpool Tower and the city's famous football stadia, as well as rides and huge Lego dioramas.

The Star Wars attraction is open from February 1 to June 1 2013, and tickets for the Discovery Centre are available online for £8.10 per person.
