‘Let It Shine’ Judges And Presenters Line Up For First Picture Together Ahead Of Launch Show

And not a spinning chair in sight.

The ‘Let It Shine’ judges and presenters have lined up for their first official picture together - and it’s got us rather excited about the start of the series.

The talent show will search for five singers to form a group to star in a nationwide stage show, called ‘The Band’, featuring Take That’s music.

Joining Gary Barlow on the judging panel are former ‘X Factor’ judge Dannii Minogue, Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp and ‘Glee’ actress and singer Amber Riley.

Completing the line-up are presenters Graham Norton and ‘Great British Bake Off’ host Mel Giedroyc.

Talking about the judging panel, Gary said: “Dannii, Martin and Amber all bring so much to this panel with the breadth of experience in music, acting, stage and TV. I can’t wait to get started - it’s going to be epic!”

Dannii added: “I’m so excited to be returning to the UK and joining the judging panel of Let It Shine.

“To be a performer, you must have a burning desire to perform, then you train at all the skills you need to shine. This show gives everyone that chance. I can’t wait.”

Meanwhile, Amber - who played Mercedes Jones in Glee and is about to take to the West End stage in the new ‘Dreamgirls’ musical - said she’ll be using her stage experience to help the contestants reach their full potential.

“One of the unique things about Glee was the covers of popular songs,” she said.

“They became the soundtrack to people’s lives, as well as the characters on the show.

“I am so excited to see what the UK talent has to offer and share some of my experience on the stage to help them reach their full potential. I’m not just looking for the biggest voices or the biggest personalities, but those who have what it takes to make it on TV and on stage.”

There’s still no confirmed transmission date for ‘Let It Shine’, but it’s believed it will replace ‘The Voice’ on BBC One in January.
