Strictly Come Dancing: Lewis Capaldi Says He Would ‘Relish The Opportunity’ To Get His Dancing Shoes On

If a spot opens up, the BBC know where to look.

The BBC has already started announcing the celebrities taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2019 but if a last-minute spot opens up, we have the perfect candidate.

Having topped the charts, feuded with a Gallagher brother and performed at Glastonbury, Lewis Capaldi has revealed that he’s ready to take the next step in showbiz by getting on his dancing shoes.

The Scottish singer was appearing on the Capital and Heart breakfast shows when he made the admission, telling the stations: “I can shake my hips for sure, I would do it [Strictly], I would relish the opportunity.

Lewis does have one caveat though, as he added: “Depends what the money was obviously, I wouldn’t just do it for no reason.”

Fingers crossed someone from the Beeb is on the phone to Lewis’ people right now.

Strictly bosses began announcing the celebs who will be taking part in this year’s series earlier this week, unveiling the first three – goalkeeper David James, EastEnders’ Emma Barton and comedian Chris Ramsay – on The One Show.
