Most of us should connect to this concept. Of course we do, in some way shape or form. Well, actually if I stand by truth then I can honestly say that life is a bitch! I mean how many hardships do we need to go through? How much more sadness does life want to throw at us in order to dim our lights? How many times does life want to pick us up, spin us around, give us a lollipop and then throw a smack down on us into a deep dark well? It's just too much for any of us to handle.
As humans we have to cope with a lot in our daily lives. Death of our loved ones, birth of our special ones, bullying (in school/at work/in public/online), self doubt, suicide, self harm, eating disorders, relationships, body images issues, we even have to live with medical conditions - the list just goes on and on. How do we even start to cope with all of these things? It's just too much for anyone to handle alone. My question to you is, what is the one thing in life that you have a passion for? What is the driving force in your life? What is it that makes you wake up the morning everyday without fail? Think about it? Evaluate what it is that makes you breathe and live life.
Each and every one of us has the potential to lead a happy and healthy life. We are born with the ability to be great and nothing less. I truly believe that we all come from this one source of light, energy, a ball of power - most people would name this powerful energy God. If we are all descendants of God, surely he has made us to be mighty just like him. I mean, I know we can't throw lightning bolts straight from our hands, or levitate and fly on a horse named Pegasus, but I am sure that he has embedded many other characteristics inside of us that we are yet to unleash. We are not born inadequate - we have the same energy inside of us that resides as God, which means that we are just as important as him. Our life is just as important through the ups, downs and all things good and bad. I will even go as far as saying that all humans are connected through this source of light which resides within each and every one of us.
Over a year ago I was fortunate enough to travel to South America, Chile, to be precise. It was the first time that I had ventured out of England on my own without friends or family to accompany me. I had to step out of my comfort zone. It took great courage to do so, and it truly was a life changing experience. The love that I received there from people was amazingly powerful - everyone that I had encountered had this mighty aura about them, I have never experienced that type of love before in my life.
I remember having a few days to myself along with the camera crew after work had finally finished - I was In Chile to do a live TV interview on the show they named Primer Plano. The whole crew and I decided to take a trip to port on Chile's coast called Valparaiso. The beach town was absolutely beautiful, graffiti masked the town's clifftop homes in each direction you turned, and the colours that masked the town were delightfully blinding. The saltiness of the beach could be tasted through the air. I was rather excited to sit beside the water and just feel the breeze caressing my face, body and lady beard - relaxation was strictly needed after a hectic few days of nonstop work. I took a deep breath in and the same breath out. I looked around and saw an unleashed dog running after a kite, I saw beautiful children making large sand castles. Mothers were playing with their toddlers and fathers were setting out the picnic food and snacks. My gaze was stopped in its tracks as it laid upon teenagers throwing rocks into the gushing water. My smile turned into confusion. Why would anyone laugh whilst throwing rocks at something so pure and stunning?
.........There is a lesson to be learnt from this.
Be like the beach! The sea doesn't care about who is throwing rocks at it. It doesn't care about who throws sticks at it, or spits in it. It doesn't care about who visits it or who decides to just walk past it without recognition. The beach will always command its waves to tide in and tide out;- absolutely nothing can or will stop it in its tracks. No negativity will stop the beach to do what it is naturally supposed to do. People will always visit it and commend it for being spectacular. People will always cherish and worship it for its godliness. Just like the beach, be wholesomely YOU! Some people will cherish your beauty, and others will not recognise it in you - but that shouldn't stop you from flaunting your beautiful. Be like the beach! Do not care for people's horrible opinions of yourself - they are just that - OPINIONS and not FACTS! Be unashamedly you, just like the beach. You will also have people who will gaze upon you in fascination of your true beauty, so never dull your shine because someone cannot see the light with in you.
