Just last week we packed away all of our summer gear, including our slew of pretty printed maxi dresses, sad in the knowledge we wouldn't see their kind again until mid 2014.
But judging by model Lily Cole's outfit for a slick fashion gathering in London on Monday, we might just have to rethink that decision.
The 25-year-old model threw caution to the (bitter) wind for the Nowness fashion dinner in a ruffled silk maxi, the sort of dress that we would normally associate with sunnier climes and evenings spent sipping cocktails alfresco. But, being the smart little cookie that she is, Lily added a clashing blazer and shiny brogues to the dress, making it very nearly winter appropriate.
If it's good enough for Lily, it's definitely good enough for us.
