London 2012 organisers have suffered a second gaffe in as many days after they listed Welsh international and footballer Joe Allen as English in the official Team GB programme.
Allen, who plies his trade with Swansea City in the Premier League and is currently being courted by Liverpool, was born in Carmarthen, south Wales.
The embarrassment comes a day after North Korea's football match at Hampden Park was marred by the South Korea flag appearing alongside North Korea's women footballers.
As a consequence, the players walked off the pitch and refused to start yesterday's match in Glasgow at the scheduled 7.45pm start time.
English?
Allen is, along with club team-mate Neil Taylor, Aaron Ramsey, Craig Bellamy and Team GB captain Ryan Giggs, one of five Welshmen in Stuart Pearce's 18-man squad.
Following the blunder in Scotland, Games organisers Locog issued a statement apologising for the confusion.
It said: "Ahead of the women's football match at Hampden Park, the South Korean flag was shown on a big screen video package instead of the North Korean flag.
"Clearly this is a mistake. We will apologise to the team and the National Olympic Committee and steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen again."
