When it comes to mixing in contemporary knitwear Sid Bryan, Joe Bates and Cozette McCreery of Sister By Sibling are masters. The label's Autumn/Winter 2014 line up during London Fashion Week was pure crochet 1970s glam meets chintz.
The collection was low-key in comparison to their chunky technicolour 3D knits last A/W, this year looks were lightweight and completely luxe. The Sibling woman is less playful this season but a whole lot sexier.
This collection of cable knitwear sets out to smoulder and the crochet ponchos and skirts (mullet, mini and pencil) are all about the reveal. When teamed with a black fedora (glitter trimmed) hat, killer stilettos and an oversized knit scarf the look is just pure hotness.
Key points to know about the Sibling show?
1. Floor-skimming crochet separates and stilettos are a no-no. (Spoiler: one catwalk model kicked off her heels after getting tangled mid-saunter and styled out ankle socks.)
2. Scarves are carried not worn. What with the fedora, that you'll be wearing with everything, the chunky knit scarf is your hand-held.
3. The jumper dress is your Autumn/Winter 2014 staple. Said chintz and glitzy embellishment was seen across slouchy knit dresses in pink, orange, turquoise, royal blue, red and purple.
4. Crochet bikinis and wrap-around cardi combos? Only if you can stand the heat.
