Edward Davenport, a wealthy entrepreneur and self-styled 'lord', has been jailed for a multi-million-pound fraud.
He was accused of running a "advanced fee fraud" scheme and has been sentenced to seven years and eight months in prison.
Davenport's lavish home, the former Sri Lankan High Commission in London, was used to film scenes for the Oscar winning film Kings Speech.
His website describes him as "one of London’s most flamboyant and best-known entrepreneurs as well as a true English gentleman from an established British family".
In 2010 the 44-year-old was banned from holding commercial parties including a "porn disco" at the premises following a complaint by Westminster City Council.
According to Davenport's website, his grand property at 33 Portland Place in London's West End is "one of the finest houses in London" and has played host to some of the most glamourous and best-known faces in the world.
It also claims his reputation "is of the utmost importance and Davenport goes to extremes to ensure he is scrupulously fair in all his dealings".
