One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson has confirmed that he and long-term girlfriend Eleanor Calder have gone their separate ways.

Louis is currently touring the globe as part of 1D’s ‘On The Road Again’ world jaunt, but confirmed via a spokesperson on Sunday that he and Eleanor split up two weeks ago, after around four years together.
A representative for the young singer told MailOnline: “Louis and Eleanor split up two weeks ago. They have not announced this as they wanted some privacy during this time.”

The couple were initially introduced by Louis’ bandmate, Harry Styles, and last year, Eleanor even acted as Maid of Honour during Louis’ mum’s wedding.
MailOnline have claimed that “the stress of the constant travelling the globe” is at the root of the young couple’s split, with Louis having previously admitted that their relationship wasn’t always easy.
Back in 2013, he explained: “It hasn't been easy at times. She gets pretty intimidated by it all. I mean, who wouldn't? She can't have Twitter or anything like that.
“At first, I was like, 'Just chill out a bit, it's fine' but now I understand where she's coming from. I can't expect her to deal with some of the stuff so easily. But with that said, I couldn't be happier with her."
Louis isn’t the only member of the group going through a difficult period, after Zayn Malik was last week forced to address rumours that he’d been unfaithful to his fiancée, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, while on tour in Asia.
Setting the record straight, Zayn tweeted: “I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f***s in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like.”
Since then, Zayn has landed back in the UK, after being signed off the Asian leg of the One Direction tour due to “stress”.
