Louis Tomlinson has hit out at The Mirror newspaper after his estranged father gave an interview about wanting to reunite with the One Direction singer.
Troy Austin told the paper of how he was desperate to be part of Louis' life, after he attended one of his concerts for the first time last week.
However, after news of the article reached the singer, he posted a strongly worded tweet.
"I'd like to start off the day by saying a big f**k you to 'the mirror' :) on a happier note huge love to all out fans, you keep us going!!" he said.
Troy split with Louis' mum Johanna when the star was just two-years-old and last saw him two years ago when he was put into One Direction on 'The X Factor'.
He took Louis' half-sister Georgia - who the star has allegedly only met three times - to see him perform on the Nottingham date of One Direction's Take Me Home Tour.
"Seeing Louis on that stage was amazing. He's in the biggest band in the world and I'm the proudest dad in the world. I just hope he knows it," he told The Mirror.
"It was a shame we couldn't see Louis and tell him how brilliant he was. But I know he and the rest of the lads are really busy. Georgia was gutted - she's his half-sister after all.
"I haven't been there for most of his life, so I understand I'm not one of his main priorities. He knows we were in the crowd and now I want to tell him what it meant to me to see him up there. I cried buckets," he said.
