‘Love Island’ contestant Tom Powell has admitted he’s had a change of heart about his relationship with Sophie Gradon.
Tom was dumped by Sophie in Monday night’s (27 June) edition of the ITV2 reality series, after she grew tired of his behaviour since the arrival of his ex-girlfriend, Emma-Jane Woodham.
Or, as Sophie put it, she was fed up of him “acting like a tit”.
Tom has now vowed he’d do “anything” to win Sophie back, though when he attempts to talk to her in Tuesday’s (28 June) show, she’s unimpressed.
Sophie hits back: “I don’t think you’ve got any right to ask me how I feel. You should have thought about that before you decided to treat me the way you have.”
He responds: “I know I should have, and I know I fucked up big time with you. This whole thing has made me rethink the whole situation and make me rethink me and you. You’ve made me change.”
When she questions how much he can change in 24 hours, Tom insists: ““I’m becoming a man again, slowly but surely I’m becoming a man again. I promise you that this whole situation has scared the life out of me so much that it’s made me never ever want to be like that again.
“Whether it’s with you or with someone else, it doesn’t matter anymore. You matter the world to me. You’re my main priority, there’s nothing else that compares to you. You’re the one thing that I have to look after in this life. I’ve never wanted to fight for something as much in my entire life.
“Usually I just walk; I can’t do that with you. It doesn’t matter how long it takes to prove it to you, I will prove it to you.
“Hand on heart, I will try everything to make this work because you do mean the world to me and I can’t let this go like this. I’m never going to look elsewhere. I just can’t risk losing this feeling. I just wanted you to know.”
His plea is ill-timed, though, as earlier that day Sophie enjoys a date with newcomer Oliver.
Find out exactly how she reacts in Tuesday’s ‘Love Island’, kicking off at 9pm on ITV2.
