All of the boys dumped from Love Island have branded Marvin is a game-player, claiming he doesn’t have a genuine interest in Maura.

Maura may think she has finally coupled up with someone she likes, but dumpees Dan, Dennon and Stevie don’t see the new couple going the distance.

Following Tuesday’s dramatic recoupling, Dan Rose said: “He [Marvin] was doing whatever it takes. He doesn’t feel genuine towards Maura. I think it depends on how it pans out whether she’ll realise that.”

On Monday’s show, Maura appeared to be leaning more towards Dennon but by the end of the episode she revealed she was fed up with him not listening to her. She then showed interest in the 29-year-old personal trainer from Bournemouth.

Dennon, who missed out on recoupling with Maura after the pair shared a kiss, said: “Everyone knows what I think – Marvin [is playing a game]. I’m not sure he would be with her on the outside.”

The 22-year-old professional footballer added: “I thought Maura was itching more towards Marvin. I was content with it before it happened. I wasn’t taken by surprise.”

Stevie, who also came close to being a new couple with Lucie but was pipped to the post by George, said: “I think Marvin changed strategy half way through. I didn’t think he liked Maura. I think he realised this was a way for him to get in. He’s a lovely bloke but I definitely saw a change in direction.”

He added he thought Marvin and Maura had the shortest future.

On new couple Lucie and George, he said: “I think Lucie is good with George.

“With George it was the weirdest love triangle. But we got on so well. I’m really happy for them both going into the villa. When Lucie picked George I smiled as he gets a go at this. I don’t look back with any malice.”

Before going into the villa, Marvin said: “Anna has definitely caught my eye but then recently Lucie has as I feel like she’s very similar to me in the sense that if she doesn’t want to hang around with a group she won’t force herself to do, which I’ve admired.”

Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV2.
