The Office star Lucy Davis has opened up about her lifelong battle with food.
The actress, daughter of comic Jasper Carrott, shocked fans earlier this week after she was seen leaving the BBC studios looking gaunt and drained, and now she has admitted her life has been blighted by an eating disorder.
She reportedly tells The Sun: "I struggle with food, I have difficulties with food. I've had it my whole life. I had to think maybe it isn't about food or weight - it's something else altogether."
The blonde, who became an instant hit thanks to her portrayal of shy receptionist Dawn Tinsley in Ricky Gervias' comedy, has allegedly made the admission as she tries to beat her issues for good ahead of her 40th birthday in January.
The star has been trying to deal with a broken heart over the last year following her divorce from actor Owain Yeoman.
She has previously opened up about her struggle with her weight, insisting moving to L.A. pushed her into slimming down.
She said: "I wish I could be one of those people who is indifferent about their weight, but since I've lost weight I've had three roles so that has to tell you something."
