As well as winning the Best Supporting Actress award at the Oscars in January, Lupita Nyong'o has now scored another claim to fame. The 12 Years A Slave star has been named the most beautiful person in the world by People magazine.
The actress, who stars on the cover of People's latest issue, spoke to the magazine about being awarded this title.
"It was exciting and just a major, major compliment," she said. "I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen."
However, Nyong'o reveals the best compliments she's received are when she hasn't actually made any effort on the beauty front.
"I have been called beautiful with not one drop of makeup on," she explained in her interview. "And also before I comb my hair or put on a pretty dress. Happiness is the most important thing."
The news comes after Lancome named Nyong'o as their ambassador in early April. She joins the brand's A-list line-up of models which includes Kate Winslet and Emma Watson. The actress will also be the first African woman to front a Lancome campaign when her debut advert launches in September.
So far, 2014 has been a pretty good year for the 31-year-old star. It just begs the question, what's Lupita going to do next?
