Heart throb actor Idris Elba and his girlfriend, make-up artist Naiyana Garth, are expecting a baby in the summer.
The happy couple are said to be 'thrilled' at the news. They have been dating secretly since March but appeared at a red carpet event together this week.
Elba, 41, best known for his role as brooding detective Luther in the BBC series and gangster boss Stringer Bell in The Wire, was snapped looking loved up with Naiyana at the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year awards at Claridge's Hotel in London earlier this week. He won the Man of the Year award.
Hackney-born Elba has an 11-year-old daughter, Isan, with his ex-wife, Dormowa Sherman.
The British actor was hospitalised after suffering an asthma attack last week. He fell ill while on a plane headed to South Africa to attend the film premiere of Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, in which he plays the coveted role of Nelson Mandela.
