L’Wren Scott’s brother has spoken in support of Mick Jagger after the late fashion designer’s sister branded him “grotesquely disrespectful” when he was spotted with another woman.
Since his partner’s death earlier this year, Mick has been linked to 27-year-old ballerina Melanie Hamrick, which seriously angered L’Wren’s sister, though her brother has had more positive things to say about the Rolling Stones frontman.

He told The Mirror: “I continue to have a very warm relationship with Mick and have never questioned his love for L'Wren and how important she was in his life.”
He was also quick to deny accusations that the star had played a part in L’Wren’s suicide, adding: “Usually I ignore these stories, but to suggest that my sister committed suicide because of a false accusation that Mick was involved with another woman is completely ridiculous.”
L’Wren’s sister Jan Shane had previously slammed Mick in an interview with The Mirror, saying: “His life goes on as if nothing happened. He’s still out with women, but a huge part of our family is missing. My sister deserved so much more than that. It’s a terrible thing for Mick to have done.
“It doesn’t surprise me at all. I’m just really glad that L’Wren doesn’t have to put up with him any more.”
Following L’Wren’s suicide back in March, Mick released an emotional statement where he described the designer as his “lover and best friend”, adding: “I will never forget her.”
