Ukip has hit out at plans to reintroduce the lynx to parts of the UK.
"This is typical of our failed immigration policy, which is now a free-for-all for whoever wants to enter our country," a Ukip spokesperson told HuffPost UK Comedy.
"We don't have the housing or jobs for these animals. They will simply come to our shores, sponge off the state, use our health service and eat our deer and rabbits."
According to experts, however, the lynx "will have an extremely beneficial effect on the country", as many of them are happy to carry out the jobs that domestic cats refuse to do.
But Ukip leader Nigel Farage remains unconvinced by the plans.
"Australian or Indian animals would be fine, as they can more easily adapt to our ways," he said. "But it is madness to open our doors to these predators from Russia and Eastern Europe."
