RuPaul's Drag Race UK Announces Game Of Thrones' Maisie Williams As First Guest Judge

From Game Of Thrones to Dame Of Thrones.

Game Of Thrones star Maisie Williams is swapping Westeros for the main stage of RuPaul’s Drag Race, with the announcement she is set to be a guest judge on the UK version.

The actor is the first star to be officially revealed as a celebrity panellist on the upcoming series, which will debut on BBC Three later this year.

Maisie, who played Arya Stark in Game Of Thrones, is a huge fan of the Drag Race franchise and says she jumped at the chance to preside over the UK queens taking part in the series.

She said in a statement: “What I love the most about drag is the story of the drag queen behind the facade.

“I think that so much of drag comes from a place of real pain and seeing how that transforms into a character is so interesting to me. I love that about art and about drag.”

The BBC is remaining tight-lipped about who else will appear as guest judges in the eight-part series, but a number of names have already been rumoured.

Reports have suggested former X Factor judge Cheryl will join the panel for an episode, with claims the bottom two queens will perform a lip sync to her single Call My Name.

Geri Horner is also said to be spicing up the panel, while her bandmate Emma Bunton has apparently signed up for a separate episode.

Breakfast telly’s Lorraine Kelly is also rumoured to be making an appearance alongside RuPaul and regular judge Michelle Visage.

It was previously announced that Graham Norton and Alan Carr will serve as rotating resident judges across the series.

Filming has already completed on the show, with an air date expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
