A man arrested after a police officer was struck by a car in London has been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm.
Leo Gowan, 23, unemployed and of no fixed address, is charged with attempted grievous bodily harm with intent against a police officer.
He is also charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop when directed by a police officer, and having no insurance after an incident in Lambeth, south London, on Wednesday.
Gowan will appear in custody at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Friday.
A second man who was arrested, aged 22, was bailed to return to a south London police station on a date in mid-June pending further inquiries.
