A man will face court charged with attempted murder after allegedly carrying out a stabbing attack on a woman in Manchester last month.
Thomas Wakefield, 26, is expected to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Monday after being charged with the offence, as well as possession of a lethal weapon.
It comes after police followed up reports that a 30-year-old woman had been stabbed multiple times in the early hours of October 30 at the junction of Shadowmoss Road and Cornishway.
The woman was taken to hospital with numerous stab wounds and injuries to her head and neck.
