A man has been jailed for nine years for his part in a knifepoint raid which saw £20,000 of designer clothing stolen from a shop in a 30 second sting.
Shahruk Sheraji, 22, was part of a gang of eight men who arrived at the shop in Islington, north London, on four mopeds in November 2016.
Three men waited outside while the other five entered the shop.
CCTV footage released by police shows Sheraji threatening a member of staff behind the till with a 30cm hunting knife, while the other four men in the shop took armfuls of clothing.
The gang stole over £20,000 of Armani, Canada Goose and Hugo Boss clothing in just 30 seconds before making off on waiting mopeds.
Sheraji, of Camden, north London, was arrested ten days later.
He was found with over a dozen mobile phones in his possession which he had stolen in separate moped thefts.
Sheraji was sentenced to nine years imprisonment for the robbery after pleading guilty at Blackfriars’ Crown Court, London. The sentence will start after the end of a two-year sentence he is currently serving for mobile phone thefts.
But the other seven raiders remain at large.
